How to solve desktop app issues?

For any kind of problem, firstly you should clean your cache.

Windows

Make sure you are using the latest version of Windows 10. You can check this by following Settings>System>About>Windows Specification

  • Simply press “ Ctrl + Alt + Del ” and select Task Manager; a dialog box will then appear. Once it’s up, simply select the Processes tab and look for “ Spotify.exe ”. If it’s there, click on it and select “ End Process ”. After doing so, try to open Spotify.
  • Quit Spotify and open Finder. Click on Go - Go to Folder in the menu bar or use Shift-Command-G shortcut. Follow this directory on your Mac /Library/Caches/com.spotify.client/ Select all files within the folder and move them to Trash.
  • Spotify is a digital music service that gives you access to millions of songs.

Spotify users on Mac can download the new Spotify app for desktop from the Spotify website or use Spotify in the browser through open.spotify.com. Tag: Spotify 57 comments. 1- Log-out and close the desktop app by tapping on 'Quit Musixmatch' (right mouse button on the Musixmatch icon).

2- Search the Musixmatch folder, writing down %AppData% on FileExplorer or on the Search box of your Start screen

3- Follow this folder path: AppDataLocalPackagesMUSIXMATCH.LYRICS_7gejyv32yt3teLocalCacheRoamingMusixmatch

4- Delete the folder

5- Wait at least 2 minutes before trying to log in again

1- Search the Musixmatch folder, writing down %AppData% on FileExplorer or on the Search box of your Start screen

Mac

1- Close Musixmatch app through the Genius bar

1- Select 'Go' and 'Go to Folder...'

2- Search the path: ~/Library/Application Support

3- Delete the Musixmatch folder

4- Wait at least 2 minutes before trying to log in again

When you try to log-in, you have a white window?

Close the login window and open it again.

If the problem persists, try to clean your cookies and your cache before trying to log-in again

The app doesn't work. I have an error message 'CLR error 80004005'. How can I fix it?

My Macbook Pro Won't Open

It is a system problem not related to our App.

Mac Cannot Open App

An application installed on the end-user machine messed up some Windows components (.NET framework in this case).
But since we do not know why it happens (maybe some old software, or unofficial pc cleaning SW, or a cracked app, etc…), it's best to “refresh the PC without losing documents and personal data” as explained here.


White page while working on a Mission task?
It is a system problem not related to our App.
  1. Press ctrl+R
  2. Go to Mission and select the task you’re working on
  3. Press restore to start from where you left off
  4. If it’s not working for you, try deleting this folder: C:Users[Your Username]AppDataRoamingMusixmatch, then log back in. It should reduce the frequency of this issue.

  1. If you have worked on this song using the mobile app, this error may show up. It is a known bug that we will fix soon.
  2. What you can do is fix the lyrics using mobile/ask another contributor to edit them for you.

Spotify synchronization doesn’t match the song (1 second behind/ahead)

Don't keep Spotify open while using the Desktop app. If you really need it, try using Spotify web.
